Ahoy, mateys!

It's been a summer of piracy for me. I've been fortunate to have shared my pirate program at numerous libraries. It's an entertaining and informative show packed full of stories, including my version of the legends of Blackbeard, Anne Bonney and Mary Reade, Peter Painter, Grace O'Malley, and other pirates. I wear full pirate garb, teach children how to talk like a pirate, and help them to discover their very own pirate names.

The piracy fun continues as September 19th is 'Talk like a Pirate Day'. Remember, too, that my NC folktales and ghost stories performances contain at least one pirate tale. I have many storytelling events occuring this fall, so remember to check out my calendar for more information.

Yo ho, me hearties,

Terry
